Tournaments within 100 miles will be considered in-town tournaments. All in-town tournaments will have a minimum of 6 hours of fishing per day.
The club’s center of business is Hibernia Boat Ramp, Kerr Lake NC
The club will have a maximum of two (2) 1 ½ day out-of-town tournaments. An out-of-town tournament will be any tournament over 100 miles from Durham.
Any new member accepted into the club after June may have to pay his own way to the annual awards banquet or pay full year membership.
All tournament dates/ locations will be chosen at the annual meeting by majority vote.
Four club meetings will be held each year. Meeting and locations to be posted with the tournament schedule.
A guest fishing in any tournament mustfish with a member.
Guests 16 years and older can fish at a maximum of (4) tournaments per season.
The club can only fish at the same lake a maximum of (3) times in the same season.
On club tournament days members cannot participate in other tournaments during the club tournaments hours. Meaning members must decide which tournament they wish to participate in. They cannot fish in another tournament while fishing in the club tournament at the same date and time.
One must be 16 years old to be considered for membership.
RULES & REGULATIONS 2026
Entry to each tournament is $40.00. $10.00 to club, $5.00 to big fish, and $25.00 to first and second place. Third place to be paid out if 15 or more are fishing. Entry fee must be paid before tournament begins.
Dues: $15.00 per month to be paid one month in advance and kept current.
Members will be dropped by when dues become past due!!!
Maximum members: 35
$60.00 of monthly dues to be paid at annual meeting.
Members present at the annual meeting will choose 12 tournament dates and locations for the upcoming year.
Members weighing in illegal bass will lose that fish plus be penalized 2 pounds from their total tournament weight or from annual weight if the member does not have enough weight in that tournament. The Lunker will not be affected except on total weight. All fish must be measured prior to weighing. (Courtesy Measurement: A club measurement board will be furnished. Measurement will be made by a member of the tournament committee or the officer at large away from the scales.)
All bass must conform to creel limits as set by the North Carolina Wildlife Commission for the lake being fished. This is normally 2 bass 12” minimum length and 3 bass 14” minimum length for a limit of 5 bass. There are exceptions where all bass must be at least 14” (East of I-95) or minimum lengths and maximum lengths determined by a slot. Bass must be measured with mouth closed pinching the tail.
Any member caught cheating in a tournament will be expelled without exception.
All rules are subject to change by the majority vote of club members at the annual meeting only.
Should extreme/adverse conditions exist before a tournament starts, a change in tournament can be decided by a majority vote.
Members weighing in late will be deducted 1 pound per minute and disqualified after 15 minutes. Fish can be weighed if brought to scales by someone else on time.
No live bait will be used during any tournament. Team tournaments the co-angler will blast before the angler.
All members must leave the same ramp in all tournaments and weigh in at the same ramp; with exception of a designated trailer tournament, you blast from your hotel.
All tournaments will be started by the last tournament’s first place winner with each boat leaving at 5 second intervals. If first place winner is not present. The second-place finisher, etc. will start the tournament.
One (1) bonus point will be awarded for each fish weighed alive and released. Any fish 6 pounds and over receives (2) bonus points and does not have to be released or alive.
Each member will receive an additional participation point for each tournament after the 10th tournament. IE: 11 points for 11th 12 points for 12th. Participation Points are not dropped from the season record points total.
Each member will receive 10 points for attending meetings.
Members returning from a leave of absence must be approved by a majority vote of members. No fish caught while on leave will be counted toward annual totals or awards.
Members requesting a leave of absence may not join the club during the year without paying a full year’s dues to be eligible for annual awards and banquets.
All fish to be brought to scales in a weigh in bag.
All weigh-in questions or problems will be decided by the tournament committee and officer at large and are final.
The club president can vote on tournament hours only.
To be considered for Lifetime membership privileges the member must be 65 years of age or older and have fished with the club a combined 20+ years.
Lifetime members are exempt from annual dues.
Lifetime members will still be subject to the season tournament entry fees.
