A recent record of 15 teams (27 anglers) headed “Down East” for the Spring trailer tourney. The fishing wasn’t quite awesome, but those that found them did well. The 15 teams weighed in 208 fish topping 465 lbs over the 2 days. Not bad given the high pressure system and heavy winds hanging over the fishery.
Nate and Anthony were clearly the kings of the weekend getting 1st place AND big fish Saturday and Sunday (and obviously for the weekend). 17.75 lbs with a big fish of 7.27 Saturday was followed by 12.08 lbs and a 6.24 lb big fish. 30+ lbs for the weekend – Damn impressive!
The Dude Gene and his partner Danny held on for 2nd over the weekend in a tight race. Their 10 fish weighing 22.51 lbs kept the rest of the field at bay.
Sneaking into 3rd for the weekend was Mr Chowan and the OG, Greg and Jimmy. 10 fish for 21.07 lbs fishing from a less than awesome craft is quite an accomplishment.
