Not too hot. Not too cold. Not rainy. Not too sunny. It was a great day for a fisherman. It sure hit the spot. You could even say it was SPOT on!
A smaller than usual group of 15 anglers descended on Lake Gaston for tenth tourney of the year. 49 fish were weighed in, but the item of note was the type… Spots. Most of the fish weighed in were spots. Seems they have really taken over Gaston.

Blaine sure found the SPOT. His limit of 10.50 lbs was anchored by the 4.8 lb Spot. First place and big fish for this guy.

Nolan found some of the few largemouth on the day. He only managed 3 keepers, but they were the right ones weighing 8.34 lbs, good enough for 2nd place.

Damon managed to catch more keepers than his son, but they weren’t big enough to surge past. His 4 fish weighed 7.45 lbs, good enough for 3rd.
Next up is Mayo, then the final tourney of the year on Kerr. We have a close race for first place. Gonna be an exciting finish!
