Kerr Lake in late April. 70 degree water and clear, sunny skies. Water levels up just the right amount and reports of plenty of fish being caught. Just one thing to do….
Our club anglers and their guests did just that as the 18 anglers brought 13 limits to the scale. 76 fish were weighed in, totaling 133.57 lbs. 76 fish were released back as well, so other anglers can get their share. The fish seemed to be cookie cutter, with most sitting right around 14 inches and weighing about a pound and a half.
Note this was our largest turnout in a few years. The club is growing, and we welcome YOU to join us at a tournament, and then as a member.
William sand-bagged his way to first place with a limit weighing 11.21 lbs
Greg resumed his bridesmaid role, just missing the win with 11.12 lbs
With so many anglers we were able to pay 3 spots, which worked out great for Blaine. Seems he caught the only fish of the day with any size to it, as this 4.9 lb hawg took home big fish money and boosted him into 3rd place.
