The club returned to Lake Mayo for the first time in ???, nobody really knows. At least a decade, maybe more. We were greeted by the lake’s crystal clear water and HUNGRY fish. The anglers caught dozens of fish on the day, though most were of the smallish variety. Many limits were brought to the scales, with a select few culling the smalls for some nice sized keepers.
Greg’s first tournament on the lake yielded yet another 1st place victory for him. His 12.18 lb limit was anchored by the day’s big bass weighing 4.47 lbs.
Barry slid into 2nd placed with a few 3 lb fish weighing 11.86 lbs.
Phillip grabbed the last check in 3rd place with 11.76 lbs.
Next stop is the last tourney of the year, our 2-day tournament on Kerr. We will put in at Ivy Hill on Saturday, then finish the year on our home ramp – Hibernia.
