It finally happened! The weather was lined up to have a massive slugfest on Kerr. Or at least that’s what it looked like on paper, or if your name was Greg or Barry. For the rest of us the day left much to be desired when all was said and done. Our 19 anglers (smallest turnout of the year amazingly) brought 66 fish to the scales totaling 146.25 lbs.
Bringing in an impressive bag of 17.95 lbs, including the big fish at 4.45 lbs, Greg grabbed the win. The victory also vaulted him to the top of the standings for the annual championship.
Clinging to hope that he might have won, and waiting for last to weigh in, Barry had a heck of a day with a limit weighing 14.90 lbs. That was good enough for 2nd on the day.
Not pictured, but sneaking in to 3rd place just ahead of his Dad, Nolan’s limit weighed 13.13 lbs. Seems a fitting weight for a 13 year old…?
Next we head to Falls lake on June 4, hoping to find some HAWGS!
