Once again the fishing gods and Mother Nature conspired to make fishing tough as hell for our club tournament. We were all looking forward to Kerr in April, but we might as well have had Kerr in February. Cold front and a high pressure system brought out the worst behavior in the green fish.
Greg returned to form by winning with 10.46 lbs. He did that with only 4 fish though, as even he couldn’t complete a limit.
David was able to find a bunch of fish, and brought his best 5 to the scale, one of only 2 limits weighed. Unfortunately the many fish he found were all on the small side, leaving him 9.41 lbs, good enough for 2nd.
One person was able to find ONE good fish. Though Owen only brought 2 to the scales, this 4.33 lb hawg was good enough for big fish on the day.
Next we head East to Chowan for our trailer tournament. Hopefully many limits are brought in that weekend!
