Falls Lake – September. Wonderful weather. A hurricane dumps inches of rain raising the lake level to 7 feet above full pool at 258 ft. PERFECT! This will be the easiest tournament ever. In the words of The Other Guys…. “Aim for the Bushes!”
It seemed like a no brainer – water up, get flipping. Most of us ended up “flipping out” as bush after bush after bush yielded nothing but bitter disappointment. Just when you think you’ve got it figured out, the fish teach you something new, unless….
…your name is William. He continued his prolific run in his inaugural season in the Hibernia Bassmasters by bringing in a season best sack of 18.50 lbs, anchored but two bass in the 5.5 lb range. VERY NICE! Only 2 other anglers managed limits, with David’s 10.99 lb bag edging Linnie’s.
Nice job William!
