The club headed to Lake Michie for our August tournament. This lovely retreat of a lake was truly a treat for all of us as the lack of boat traffic provided a wonderful respite during summer fishing. Lake Michie doesn’t allow jet-skis, and you don’t find many (any?) pleasure boats out there. Just fishin’ baby!
The fish were plentiful with every angler weighing at least 1 fish, while 4 managed a 5 fish limit. William continued his dominant season boating an impressive bag of 17.38 pounds, anchored by a 5.98 pound largemouth that was the big fish of the day. The good fish were available for the taking, though the best ones needed to be boated early. Greg also kept his steady and solid season moving along with a nice sack of 12.93 pounds for second place.
